I didn't know what QPI was (still don't know, it just happened and I am freaking out) Because I had my system overclocked I thought may be it's my OC settings so I went to BIOS and reset all to default so no more OC, CPU is running at 3.5 Normal and 3.7 Turbo as it should. BOOM I see some BIG FAIL on utility screen. When I saw this Intel Diagnostic utility for CPUs and I really never had any problem with my 5930K and it's like brand new and stuff and in my experience CPUs are work or don't there is no middle in it but who cares few seconds of download and. Reason I am telling you this because is it possible that THIS ERROR is what's been happening all this time but I didn't know and thought it's my R9 290X Video card ?įew minutes ago I decided to download Intel Tuning Utility to play with it a bit and just check it out. I put it in PCIx_3 and it got better but not quite. Driver crashes as soon as any GPU activity is going on it can be anything from screen saver that have some 3D in it or some video on internet that is using GPU render or even a page.
Few months back when I ordered my brand new X99 RIG I had a trouble with my Video Card that is still not resolved when I had a problem with Video Card being in PCIx_1 port had a driver crash and recovery and VERY poor performance in all the games.
